About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Packing Supervisor to join our Northam site team.
As a senior member of the production team, you will be responsible for overseeing all activities to ensure the packing schedule is met and customer requirements are fulfilled. You will monitor the Packing Operation for optimal performance, ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role involves some administrative tasks but is largely based on the packing floor.
Responsibilities of this role include:
- Ensuring the weekly plan is followed to meet sales forecasts and customer requirements.
- Overseeing accurate mixing of bread mixes and timeous filling of bulk flour packing bins.
- Ensuring team adherence to company procedures related to HSE, food safety, quality, and GMP.
- Communicating all breakdowns and potential hazards to the Production Manager.
- Conducting monthly stock takes to ensure and control adequate supplies are always on hand to meet production requirements.
- Completing additional tasks as assigned.
About you
The suitable candidate will possess:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role.
- Forklift Licence.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Customer service orientation.
- High attention to detail.
- Manufacturing background is desirable.
- Understanding of OH&S and food safety standards is desirable.
