About the Role
We're looking for a Finance Business Partner to support our Commodity and Supply Chain teams.
You'll be responsible for:
- Preparing and delivering weekly & monthly reporting and performance analysis for our physical grain and ingredients procurement teams & developing quality & insightful commentary on performance and key drivers.
- Providing strategic financial business partnering by delivering actionable insights and building financial modelling to support procurement buying strategy and commercial decisions.
- Providing crucial support in coordinating and preparing annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting for both grain and ingredients procurement functions including assumptions and Risk & Opportunity Tracker
- Leading annual procurement standard cost setting processes.
- Taking ownership of financial control and governance activities including balance sheet reconciliations, stock ownership, GRIR clearing account, and taking actions on relevant process improvements.
- Leading all sorts of auditing and compliance preparation in physical grain & ingredients function.
About You
You're a commercially & control minded finance professional who thrives in complex environments. You'll bring a proactive mindset and confidence navigating both data and cross functional stakeholder relationships.
The suitable candidate will possess:
- A soft commodity background, however, applicants with supply chain and manufacturing experience will also be considered
- Strong technical finance skills with at least 5 years' experience managing P&L reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and strong understanding in accounting principles
- At least 3 years of proven experience in a Business Partner role or similar role.
- Strong analytical curiosity and problem-solving skills - able to connect disparate data points, navigate complex systems, and proactively seek out insights and ability to look beyond numbers to drive informed decision-making
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
- CA/CPA qualification (or working towards)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, with demonstrated strong financial modelling and data analysis capabilities
- Exceptional communication to constructively challenge stakeholders at all levels and articulate complex financial concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
