An exciting opportunity is available for a Head of Operational Excellence to join our team on a 2-year maximum-term contract. Reporting to the Operations Director and based in Enfield, Sydney; you will advocate for operational excellence across all levels of the organisation. This role is critical to driving CI tools and processes and building a sustainable operational excellence culture. Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Act as a key member of the Operational Leadership Team (OLT) and deliver on all responsibilities.
- Build and deliver a holistic Operational Strategy aligned with related business plans and operational performance elements.
- Engage leaders to define and implement KPI scorecards and ensure effective analytics and reporting tools.
- Assess, define, and deliver an operational excellence maturity plan aligned with Lean principles.
- Develop and maintain a continuous improvement pipeline to support sustainable conversion costs.
- Create tools for assessing and improving the physical and product footprint across operations.
- Coordinate the creation and review of an Operations Business Continuity (BC) plan.
- Lead and coach cross-functional change programs and engage stakeholders to build connections and share learnings.
About You:
You are a strategic thinker with the ability to navigate ambiguous situations and understand CAPEX and return on investment. An operational background, particularly in FMCG, is valuable, and while LEAN expertise is ideal, a practical understanding of agile business practices is also important. You are self-driven, inquisitive, and possess strong leadership and change management skills.
You will need to manage ambiguity and build strong stakeholder relationships. We require a continuous improvement mindset that proactively looks for improvement initiatives to build capability across our sites, working end-to-end within the Mauri network to evolving our ways of work.
