About the role
Reporting to the General Manager, Australasia, the National Business Manager will be responsible for delivering the volume, revenue and margin contribution targets through all aspects of customer development within the Woolworths account and our NZ distributor.
A strategic role, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of annual sales plans, developing the consumer insights agenda and category vision for our brands. You will also be comfortable with the hands on components of the position; reporting, P+L management and forecasting.
- Strong engagement with key customers at category buyer and senior management
- Achieve targets as set, with effective planning and forecasting
- Full P+L management to account contribution level
- Build and implement instore promotional plan that will deliver the strategic business targets and maximum ROI
- Negotiate & implement contracts, terms and cost price changes with trade as required
- Development & communication of all launch strategies and in store/channel specific selling opportunities
- Analyse / use consumer insight data to identify and anticipate market trends
- Develop medium term strategy (2 years) to establish stronger, more defensible market positions for the brands as part of the above sales & marketing plan
- Accurate forecast of base sales and phased promotional uplifts
- Work closely with the UK demand team using an agreed Sales and Operations procedure to maintain stock holding
About you
- Previous Account Management Experience in FMCG– lead Account for large Grocery retailer
- Experience developing customer relationships to deliver short & long-term objectives.
- Developing and delivering Joint Business Plans
- Consistent track record of delivering P+L versus targets & strategic priorities
- Highly collaborative approach with strong communication skills
- Strong negotiator with excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
