Job Description
Mauri is one of Australia's largest and longest established manufacturers of high-quality processed animal feed products, providing compound feeds, concentrates and nutritional services for commercially farmed animals from sites throughout Australia and New Zealand.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a Territory Manager (NSW) to join or Animal Nutrition team. You will be responsible for animal feed sales for all of New South Wales and will enjoy taking ownership and support delivery of the Sales strategy for your area.
You will be managing the sales planning in liaison with the key stake holders, constantly seeking new ways of working with internal teams to drive profitability, developing new business to gain new customers and cross-selling and up-selling to existing customers.
In addition, you will be expected to deliver Sales Territory Budget (volume and profit); supporting other team members in doing so as and when required and adding value to our customers by identifying opportunities and delivering business solutions in line with our Customer Value Proposition.
You will be key in assisting in the delivery of the Commercial Strategy and Strategic Initiatives in collaboration with cross-channel and functional team members.
About You
The ideal candidate will have exceptional sales and leadership skills, well developed problem solving/analytical skills and role model active leadership of our safety culture. You will also establish & maintain close, professional relationships with all internal teams to ensure that sales are maximized and have the commercial acumen to monitor, analyse sales reports in a timely and professional manner.
In addition, you will have previous experience assessing customer needs and making recommendations based on discussions, proven capability building a Sales Territory Pipeline for new business and growth of current business and is skilled with reporting on all aspects associated with market intelligence (customers, competitors, freight contractors etc) using a nominated and suitable database that is regularly updated.
Previous experience working a similar environment/role is and confidence making quick decisions to address challenges when they arise are key to your success in this role. In addition, you will also enjoy modelling the company values, adapting your work styles to better engage with a high a performing team and displaying sales “best practice” and consistently working in a safe manner.
Monogastric experience and ruminant experience is desirable.
