About the Role:
If you are a highly proficient and technically minded payroll professional, with strong knowledge of Modern Awards & EA's and you are looking for an opportunity to move out of day to day processing or management duties & to boost your proficiency as a payroll project specialist, then this is the role for you!
Reporting to the Payroll Services Manager you will be responsible for
- Confirming assessment of the employee level classification where required
- Highlight key areas of review to determine risk groups
- Calculating pay adjustments and back payments and advising payroll administrators on such amendments
- Providing a consultative approach to rectifying and advising on appropriate courses of action
- HR Reporting and advising Payroll Adminsitrators on bulk employee changes required in line with contract changes and award requirements
- Provide value-add analysis and commentary to stakeholders across the business
- Broad range of analytical projects across Payroll and HR operations
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities
- Other tasks as required by the Payroll team
Our Ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated experience of maintaining payroll/T&A systems configuration
- Proven experience interpreting EA's and Industrial Agreements
- Analytical and problem-solving ability with the capacity to provide insight and quickly identify ways forward when presented with issues
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels
- Advanced excel skills with experience in macro writing, spreadsheet modelling, database and reporting applications
- Strong planning & time management skills
