About the role
The Tip Top Category team is responsible for identifying and building long-term Category growth strategies along with managing the short-term 12 month Go-To-Market activities. It is responsible for evolving the shopper/retailer/manufacturer relationship to realise growth at a category level through sharing a common understanding of shopper behaviour with our customer partners.
Internally and with external trade partners, the Category Manager – Bakery Breakfast will be the Tip Top category voice and deliver exceptional in-market solutions and flawless activation. This role is designed to create the link between the Retailer and the business to continuously identify opportunities throughout the year to realize category growth. This is achieved through true collaboration, strong communication and an intimate understanding of the category; the retailers' role within it and the retailers' business plan. Critical to success is a close and productive working relationship with Marketing, the National Accounts team, Sales Operations and the Field Sales Team.
The Category Manager – Bakery Breakfast is responsible for leading our category strategies and driving engagement within their customer portfolio to sustainably outperform the market. Supporting our Head of Category, this role is responsible for leading/supporting retailer hot houses, joint business plan sessions and category reviews, represent Category within our internal Family Portfolios.
As our successful candidate, you will have proven category or product management experience, ideally, within the FMCG sector. Exceptional communication and proven negotiation skills coupled with the ability to exercise initiative, judgment and discretion will see you excel in this opportunity. Demonstrated knowledge of a wide range of marketing and category management techniques coupled with a proven track record of developing and executing category plans, promotions and communication plans is essential to your application.
