We are currently seeking to appoint a passionate and proactive Regulatory Affairs Associate who will report to the Head of Quality, Technical & Regulatory Affairs ANZ. This position will be based in our National Office in North Ryde NSW.
The purpose of this role is to lead regulatory affairs by partnering with relevant internal business stakeholders to ensure all packaging labelling and associated advertising material meet legal and compliance obligations with respect to food regulations and nutrition strategies.
You core responsibilities will include:
Develop, review and approve product packaging labelling, print or digital communication and advertising material.
Review, verify substantiation evidence and approve product claims
Assist with development and review of product nutritional information claims for packaging labelling and communication.
Maintain and review Tip Top Branded and customer branded specifications (retail accounts, food service and non-proprietary products) ensuring that specifications are up to date and information are logged or filed appropriately-internally and externally.
Manage packaging labelling audits program and coordinate associated packaging labelling updates.
Manage nutrition and ingredients calculation software (Hamilton Grant) to ensure the integrity of the data is maintained and current.
Complete VITAL Risk Assessment Calculator (desk Top assessments) for all GWF products to ensure that product packaging allergen labelling is correct. Work with site technical teams and national technical teams to ensure that all assumptions are correct and reviewed regularly.
Play a supporting role in the development of submission to FSANZ and other relevant organizations.
Provide assistance to GWF sites regarding product information and packaging related enquiries and assistance with site audits.
Support Consumer Information Centre on product information inquiries.
The successful applicant for this role will possess the following:
Working knowledge of FSANZ – Food Standard Code.
- Working knowledge of customer standards (e.g. WW-PLMS, COLES' Fusion Plus, etc.)
- Attention to details.
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills to ensure job tasks and projects are completed within required time frames
- Effective stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Solid interpersonal skills
Degree qualifications in Food Science/Food Technology/Nutrition/Pharmaceutical with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
