An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced and qualified Electrical tradesperson to join our team. The opportunity is based at our Toowoomba site, where we produce liquid and dried yeast products for our local bakery and global beverage customers.
About the Role
MAURI is currently looking to employ a Maintenance Technician with full electrical licencing to be part of the Engineering Team at our Toowoomba facility. This team is pivotal in providing high quality maintenance services to the site, ensuring critical plant reliability and availability, to support consistent optimisation of our branded product to our customers.
As the Maintenance Technician - Electrical, you will be responsible for and not limited to daily machine trouble shooting, preventive maintenance work orders and schedules, working closely with our Engineering Manager, site Fitter and contractors to achieve high levels of plant optimisation, and ensuring all relevant and required documentation is completed. The Maintenance Technician - Electrical will predominately be a daytime role, Monday through until Friday, WITH the inclusion of afterhours coverage as necessary for Breakdown Maintenance on a rotating rostered basis.
The successful applicant for this role will possess the following:
- Minimum 5 years post trade experience as an industrial Electrician
- Current Open Queensland Electrical Licence (essential) and relevant mechanical trade certificate and/or experience (desirable).
- High level of problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
- Experience and knowledge of Lean manufacturing and RCM practises and processes
In addition, you will ideally have some experience working in a food processing environment, the ability to work autonomously and with limited supervision and some working knowledge of a CMMS. A forklift licence, working at heights licence and confined space licence training are preferred but not essential.
