AB Biotek is a producer of yeast and provider of associated technologies and integrated fermentation solutions to the global alcohol beverages, bioethanol, animal nutrition and human nutrition & health markets.
About the Role
We have an excellent opportunity available for a TSM – Alcoholic Beverages at AB Biotek, located at our Sydney Technical Centre in North Ryde. This role is pivotal in driving the growth and profitability of our Alcoholic Beverages business across ANZ.
You'll be responsible for providing technical sales support, managing key accounts, and developing new partnerships through distributors. You'll also play a key role in implementing marketing strategies, coordinating industrial trials, and representing AB Biotek at trade shows and exhibitions.
Reporting to the Asia/Pacific Commercial Director – Alcohol, Yeast & Ingredients, your core responsibilities will include:
- Delivering technical sales support and “proof of concept” trials at customer sites.
- Achieving budgeted sales targets and manage forecasts.
- Identifying new business opportunities and facilitate product introductions.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts and distributors.
- Training distributor staff and adapt technical materials to market needs.
- Representing AB Biotek at industry events and exhibitions.
- Promoting safe working practices and environmental care.
About You
You're a confident communicator with a strong technical background and commercial acumen. You thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and enjoy building long-term relationships.
You'll bring:
- A bachelor's degree in biotechnology, microbiology, brewing, distilling, bioethanol or related field.
- Experience in B2B sales, ideally in beverage supplies or food ingredients.
- Located in Sydney with the ability to travel across ANZ for more than 40% of the calendar year.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and work independently.
- Strong interpersonal and computer skills.
- Must hold a current passport and driver's licence.
- Unrestricted Australian Working Rights.
