About the Role
MAURI is currently looking to employ a Maintenance Technician to be part of the Engineering Team at our Melbourne based site. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for completing Maintenance P.M's carrying out repairs and maintenance, whilst being both available and able to carry out any mechanical repairs that may be required during the shift.
To be successful in this role you must be a team player who can work autonomously. You will have the ability to continuously make decisions about work priorities during the shift, work closely with the other team members to get things done effectively and efficiently and prioritise any new requests made during the shift.
Ideally, you will make decisions regarding changes to the maintenance plan. And have experience using MEX to reprioritise outstanding work orders, insert history, book hours and close out work orders.
The position is required to be on call 24/7 for rotating roster 1 in 3 weeks.
The successful applicant for this role will possess the following:
- Minimum 5 years post trade experience as a Mechanical fitter
- Welding experience to complete light fabrication and repair of plant components
- Experience in pneumatic control and component repair / fault find
- High level of problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
- Experience and knowledge of Lean manufacturing and RCM practises and processes
In addition, you will have some experience working in an FCMG environment, the ability to work autonomously and with limited supervision and some working knowledge of a CMMS. A forklift licence, working at heights licence and confined space licence training are preferred but not essential.
