About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Flour Miller to join the team at our site in Moorooka, Queensland.
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the effective and safe running of the flour mill. This includes operating the mill but also all the associated processes within our site as needed, ensuring we are delivering on our commitment to a great experience for our customer. We produce quality product in a safe, cost effective & efficient manner.
The role operates on a weekly rotating shift pattern Monday to Friday, with reduced hours on Fridays. The shift hours will be day, afternoon and night shifts.
You'll be responsible for:
- Serving as a senior member of the production team, engaging with complex Flour Milling processes
- Ensuring delivery on customer quality compliance
- Working as a team to ensure production runs at optimal performance levels
- Ensuring all products meet specifications and productivity standards
- Maintaining continuous efficiency of mill equipment
- Ensuring timely completion of Milling Logs, SAP process orders and Operational Work Orders
- Participating in cleaning and maintenance programs for all site mill equipment
- Maintaining safe and healthy work environment in compliance with company policies and procedures
About You
The ideal candidate will have flour milling experience and associated qualifications, although applicants with complex food manufacturing experience will be also considered.
The suitable candidate will:
- Be highly self-motivated with the ability to work in both solo and team environments
- Hold a NABIM Milling Certificate or any equivalent qualification (desirable but not essential)
- Have proven experience working in a team and coordinating workflow, prioritising tasks and motivating other team members to meet high performance standards
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer focused attitude
- Have knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (BRC) would be an advantage
- Demonstrate strong commitment to a safe working environment
