About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our maintenance team at Moorooka site.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role will be responsible for installation of metal components, as well as maintenance and repairs of equipment throughout the plant. Fabrication experience is a plus.
Main responsibilities of this role include:
- Participate in repairs and preventive maintenance of all site plant and equipment
- Manage emergency breakdown repairs on plant and equipment
- Assist in providing and promoting a safe workplace
- Be able to work with limited supervision in a small team environment
- Accurately complete paperwork in a timely manner
- Assist with other tasks as required to ensure effective operation of the maintenance team
About you
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A relevant Trade Certificate
- 5 years Maintenance Fitter experience
- Safety-first attitude
- Previous experience working in FMCG environment (desirable but not essential)
- Good organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork
- Limited Electrical Licence (desirable but not essential)
- Having the ability to Mig and Tig weld, carry out fabrication and sheet metal work, lathe work etc is a plus.
