About the Role
A great opportunity is presently available for an experienced HSE Business Partner to join our team in supporting Queensland (Moorooka & Toowoomba).
One of our key values within our organisation is Safety and, in this role, you will be expected to work closely with relevant Business Leaders to create an environment where safety is front of mind and is the key behaviour that drives the way the team effectively completes their tasks and duties.
You will be responsible for facilitating Health & Safety activities to educate, influence and embed a strong safety culture among the Team Leaders to achieve the most effective outcomes. In addition, you will also provide the team with technical and practical HSE advice and ensure all state regulations are complied with; ensuring the self-insurance systems integrity through regular site auditing.
- Collate and generate reports within the HSE Arena
- Share reports of HSE issues with Management Teams
- Investigate incidents and patterns identified as appropriate
- Coach and proactively manage performance of the team
- Drive engagement and provide energy
- Demonstrate inclusive leadership – enabling accountability and ownership by site leaders., proactively calling on their views and input, challenging bias

Our ideal candidate will have well developed interpersonal skills, proven capability influencing outcomes and the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will also have proven experience identifying and deploying process improvement initiatives and a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar HSE role (manufacturing environment or similar) with formal HS&E qualifications. This role will suit someone who enjoys providing expert advice, supporting and coaching leaders and people (at all levels) to drive improved risk management practices, meet performance targets across the site(s), and maintain adherence to Group/MAURI audit criteria, policies and procedures. This is a hands-on role where you will enjoy ensuring that you have maximum visibility on the floor; working closely with the team across 2 Qld sites.
In addition, you will have proven analytical and problem-solving skills and be a highly effective communicator as you will be expected to interact with all parts of the business on a frequent basis and will be required to build trust and confidence.
