Production Manager – Port Adelaide

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Production Manager to lead the Port Adelaide Operations team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for driving the efficient and timely production of company products, ensuring safety, quality, and operational excellence. You will play a key role in creating a work environment where safety is a top priority and continuous improvement is encouraged across all aspects of the business. Other key responsibilities include:
- Foster a safe and healthy work environment.
- Manage disciplined operations to optimize safety, customer service, staff morale, and efficiency.
- Oversee production planning using SAP to ensure timely and accurate manufacturing in line with business requirements.
- Ensure products are manufactured to quality specifications, maintaining low product return rates.
- Implement and manage cleaning programs to ensure product quality and prevent contamination.
- Build and maintain a strong, motivated team, ensuring all staff are trained.
- Promote a culture of open communication, attention to detail, and teamwork.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and food safety audits, minimizing product damage.
About You:
You are a dedicated leader with a passion for operational excellence, safety and quality. You have proven experience in food manufacturing, with flour milling experience preferred but not essential. You have a proven track record of managing teams in a production environment and driving continuous improvement initiatives helping all employees work as a team. With strong communication and people management skills, you are adept at building cohesive teams that work efficiently to meet business objectives. You are results-oriented, with a focus on achieving targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety, customer service, and product quality.
